JClub #2.

Here are the documents:

  1. Summary of Torres et al. (2015). Effects of corticosteroids on treatment failure among hospitalized patients with severe community-acquired pneumonia and high inflammatory response: a randomized clinical trial. JAMA, 313(7), 677-686.
  2. Measures of Effect (RR and OR)
  3. Chest Xrays (word doc with different algorithms )
  4. CXRs (ppt with tons of examples. Look at this in presentation mode)

A big point I forgot to mention is to NOT stop once you find something. Go all the way through your algorithm in order to thoroughly assess the study. Otherwise you might miss something very important.

    1. Yeah there will be on 2/23/16. We’re going to be going over the following:
      1) an article on restarting anticoagulation after a GI bleed in patients with Afib.
      2) hazard ratios
      3) Head CTs
